Khamillah chose the ‘Transform’ question from the examination paper.	She started by looking at a broad range of artists who could be described as reflecting the theme ‘Transform’. She created a double page spread collage of these artists.	Khamillah went on to look in more detail at the artists Matthew Cusick who creates artworks with map/collage.
On the second page Khamillah had a go at creating a portrait out of collage.	A detail.	This is the artists work.
Khamillah copied a small section. She went through the same process as the artist. I am pleased she had the confidence to leave it incomplete. This small section, which took a long time, shows that she understands the process the artist has been through.	Next Khamillah wanted to make her project personal. She extensively photographed both her sister and her dog to create images the she could ‘Transform’ using Matthew Cusicks process.
		Khamillah started experimenting with different types of collage and created the beautiful collages on this and the following slides, all of which are inspired by her own photographs.

This page is a favorite of mine because it evidences so much skill. It experiments with different colour schemes and materials and also includes skilful drawing/recording.		More pages show different composition ideas and experiments.
	The final piece is a series of collages where Khamillah chose to pursue the dog photographs as the subject matter.	She chose different photos of her dog and completed them all in map.
	A highly successful project where she mastered the time consuming and skillful art of collage.
